Zoom and Avaya have unveiled a strategic collaboration aimed at revolutionizing collaboration experiences for global enterprises. In a groundbreaking move, Avaya has chosen Zoom Workplace, Zoom’s AI-powered collaboration platform encompassing meetings, team chat, scheduler, whiteboard, spaces, and more, to integrate with Avaya’s Communication & Collaboration Suite. This integration promises customers a seamless approach to managing their communications environments and workflows.
Through this partnership, Avaya will offer the integrated Zoom Workplace solution, delivering an enriched collaboration experience to its extensive customer base, which includes some of the industry’s largest enterprise clients.
Alan Masarek, Avaya CEO, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Today’s enterprises are seeking to benefit from the latest AI-powered innovations to help differentiate, accelerate, and grow, all while integrating new levels of performance with minimal disruption to existing core systems. By partnering with Zoom, we can deliver on the promise of ‘innovation without disruption’ for Avaya customers, providing added value to enterprises through world-class collaboration experiences within the Avaya platform.”
Meanwhile, Eric S. Yuan, Zoom founder and CEO, highlighted Zoom’s commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences, saying, “Zoom was built to offer a sophisticated yet easy-to-use product, and as Zoom has expanded to include hundreds more products and features, as well as generative AI integrated throughout, delivering an exceptional user experience is still core to who we are and something we continue to invest heavily in. We are excited to deliver that same experience to the thousands of Avaya customers who will benefit from a simple yet powerful way to collaborate.”
The collaboration between Zoom and Avaya aims to provide Avaya customers with enhanced collaboration experiences, including interoperability between platforms and devices, seamless integration with existing Avaya solutions such as Avaya Aura and Avaya Enterprise Cloud, and access to Zoom’s AI Companion, a generative AI digital assistant. Avaya customers will retain their investments in Avaya’s solutions and devices while leveraging Zoom’s AI-powered collaboration platform.
The new integrated Zoom Workplace experience and device interoperability will be rolled out globally to Avaya customers in the coming months. Further details regarding the joint solution will be disclosed later this spring, promising a new era of enhanced collaboration for enterprises worldwide.
