ZeoDAC, Inc. Launches Pioneer Direct Air Carbon Capture Technology

ZeoDAC, Inc., a promising new player in the field of direct air capture of carbon dioxide, has officially announced its company launch. With a mission to “Capture Carbon Dioxide from Air to Create a Better Tomorrow,” ZeoDAC utilizes cutting-edge solid materials, particularly best-in-class zeolites, to capture carbon in a process that facilitates rapid scale-up for efficient, direct air carbon capture (DAC) along with a diverse end-product strategy. The company boasts a distinguished lineup of founders, including industry veterans and technical pioneers Professor Christopher W. Jones from Georgia Tech and Professor Mark E. Davis from Caltech, both renowned experts in their respective fields.

“ZeoDAC’s CO2 capture process leverages chemically and mechanically robust solid sorbents with established supply chains deployed in an energy efficient temperature-vacuum swing adsorption cycle, leading to a simple yet economically advantaged process,” remarks Christopher Jones.

Backed by an international consortium of investment partners, including Wilson Hill Ventures, Caltech, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Freeflow Ventures, and Global Brain, ZeoDAC has secured several million dollars in funding from institutional venture capital and strategic investors, with Wilson Hill Ventures leading the investment.

“We are excited to embark on this journey with ZeoDAC. We believe that Direct Air Capture offers the potential for us to source sustainable ingredients and materials while reducing our environmental footprint. After extensively reviewing the market, we are confident that ZeoDAC’s novel approach provides the affordability, scalability, and energy efficiency needed to become a major player in the DAC industry,” said Nicola Tongue, Associate Director, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.

ZeoDAC’s innovative approach not only captures carbon dioxide but also water, paving the way for the production of several valuable end-products that can generate both economic returns and environmental benefits.
