QBE Introduces Home Plus Protection Package to Safeguard Macau Properties

QBE Insurance Group announces the introduction of the Home Plus Protection Package (HPPP), a cutting-edge digital home insurance offering tailored for both tenants/owners and landlords in Macau. This initiative reflects QBE’s commitment to delivering innovative insurance solutions, leveraging its robust business insurance capabilities and utilizing a dedicated online platform.

QBE has unveiled a dedicated online platform for the Home Plus Protection Package, providing consumers with easy access to purchase the comprehensive insurance offering. The simplified process allows users to provide necessary information and receive their policy via email.

Addressing the Rise in Fire Incidents:

With the total number of fire incidents in Macau rising by 2.45% in 2023, QBE recognizes the increasing need for comprehensive coverage. The HPPP aims to provide reassurance and protection for both owners/tenants and landlords in the face of unexpected events.

Holistic Coverage for Diverse Needs:

The HPPP considers various consumer needs, including unique features such as coverage for pets’ temporary boarding costs and protection for pets’ accidental death or theft. It also addresses significant risks like burglary, fire, typhoon, and personal liabilities.

In addition to safeguarding home contents, the HPPP extends its coverage to domestic helpers’ personal effects. It also caters to additional cover for temporary accommodation arising from accidents.

Paul Li, General Manager of QBE Macau, said, “We are excited to introduce the Home Plus Protection Package, designed to help Macanese consumers comprehensively protect their properties, contents and personal liabilities in a worry-free fashion. In particular, we believe that landlords will welcome this new product as it offers potentially higher liability protection when it comes to protecting their rental properties from unforeseen incidents.”

Lei Yu, CEO for North Asia and Head of Asia Distribution, added, “We continue to strengthen our digital distribution initiatives in Asia and enhance the customer experience in North Asia. The new product and online platform for Macau extends protection and convenience to consumers here and is reflective of our commitment to this market. Homes are considered to be one of the most valuable assets by many, and we want to help our customers achieve peace of mind when it comes to protecting the things that matter most to them.”

This launch aligns with QBE Asia’s strategic focus on customer-centric products and user-friendly digital experiences, reaffirming its dedication to the Macau market.
