Garanti BBVA, a leading financial institution, is extending an invitation to entrepreneurs with promising projects in the fields of data, cybersecurity, payment systems, and sustainability to apply for its renowned Garanti BBVA Partners Tech Startup Accelerator program. The initiative aims to empower startups that have completed the minimum viable product (MVP) stage, demonstrated at least two years of operational success, and possess high market potential, a scalable business model, and a robust revenue strategy.
The selection process will be led by an evaluation committee tasked with identifying projects that meet the stringent criteria. Successful applicants will embark on a transformative six-month journey within the Garanti BBVA Partners Tech Startup Accelerator. During this period, startups will benefit from a range of support services, including office space, tailored mentoring, collaboration opportunities with Garanti BBVA, Garanti BBVA Technology, and their affiliates, advertising and PR assistance, business and product consultancy, training seminars, office technical infrastructure support, and advantageous terms on various banking products and services.
Established in 2015, Garanti BBVA Partners has played a pivotal role in fostering entrepreneurship, aiding approximately 60 startups in evolving into sustainable businesses through its Startup Accelerator.
Sibel Kaya, Executive Vice President of Garanti BBVA, emphasized the institution’s commitment to entrepreneurship and the core values of diversity, innovation, and sustainability embedded in its corporate culture. She stated, “Consumer behaviors and needs are rapidly changing, and we need to keep up and devise new ways of doing business. As a bank that continuously invests in technology, we are keen to support entrepreneurs whose projects embrace technology.”
Kaya underscored the importance of inclusive growth in Garanti BBVA’s strategy, extending beyond financial realms to cultivate sustainable businesses, drive innovation in the economy, and foster growth within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. She added, “Our startup incubator has been running since 2015 and includes the Garanti BBVA Partners Tech program to support tech-based startups by offering our knowledge and experience.”
Entrepreneurs with innovative projects in data, cybersecurity, payment systems, or sustainability are encouraged to submit their applications, with the deadline set for January 31, 2024. The program aligns with Garanti BBVA’s overarching commitment to sustainability and technology, reflecting the institution’s dedication to supporting forward-thinking initiatives that contribute to the growth and innovation of the startup ecosystem.
