Banca Transilvania, a pioneering adopter of artificial intelligence in banking, has embarked on a collaboration with Microsoft to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot into employees’ workflows. These AI assistants aim to cultivate new habits in daily work routines and enhance efficiency in the software development domain.

Microsoft 365 Copilot promises a transformative experience for users of the Microsoft 365 suite, encompassing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. With its ability to synthesize information, generate text, presentations, and images, and analyze data, it offers seamless integration across desktop and mobile platforms.

GitHub Copilot, on the other hand, enhances efficiency and quality in the software development sphere at Banca Transilvania. It facilitates code writing by interpreting specifications, thereby streamlining the development process.

In addition to the recent partnership, Banca Transilvania has previously collaborated with Microsoft to integrate AI Search functionality into its Întreb BT platform in October 2023. Powered by the Azure OpenAI Service solution, AI Search enhances accessibility to information about self-banking products, services, and solutions. Over four months from October 2023 to February 2024, nearly 55,000 unique visitors utilized the AI Search feature on Întreb BT, generating over 200,000 queries.

The collaboration between Banca Transilvania and Microsoft underscores a shared commitment to harnessing advanced technologies to drive innovation and enhance banking experiences for both employees and customers.
