Microsoft has unveiled the AI Odyssey initiative, aimed at upskilling 100,000 developers in India in the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and tools. The program provides a comprehensive learning experience to help developers acquire and showcase relevant skills required for implementing critical projects using AI technologies aligned with business goals and outcomes. Recognizing the transformative impact of AI on work and life, the initiative is designed to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of leveraging AI to solve complex problems and generate value for India.

Participation in the AI Odyssey program is open to all AI enthusiasts in India, irrespective of their experience level or background. To enroll in the program, developers can register on aka.ms/AIOdyssey and access learning modules and resources. The month-long initiative, running until January 31, 2024, comprises two levels.

The first level focuses on educating participants on utilizing Azure AI services to create and deploy AI solutions for various scenarios. This level provides access to valuable resources, code samples, and guides to help participants master practical AI skills.

The second level challenges participants to demonstrate their AI proficiency by completing an online assessment with interactive lab tasks. Successful completion earns them Microsoft Applied Skills credentials, a verifiable credential validating their ability to solve real-world problems with AI. Those completing both levels stand a chance to win a VIP Pass to attend the Microsoft AI Tour in Bangalore on February 8, 2024. The AI Tour is a unique event showcasing the revolutionary impact of generative AI on creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Featuring keynote sessions, demos, and workshops, the tour allows developers to learn from Microsoft experts and partners while networking with peers.
