Virtusa Corporation, a global leader in digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT services, has unveiled a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to revolutionize data migration and IT service modernization. This collaboration encompasses the establishment of The Generative AI & Data Lab, an artificial intelligence (AI) and data-focused initiative aiming to expedite customers’ data migration to the cloud and enhance IT services by integrating AI, machine learning (ML), and Generative AI technologies.

Under the SCA, Virtusa has inaugurated four Generative AI Labs in Virtual, New York, London, and Singapore, with New York serving as the pilot hub for life sciences research use cases for a Fortune 50 company and quality control initiatives for Verint Systems. These labs are instrumental in accelerating data and AI modernization, utilizing Bedrock to automate research and quality control processes.

The Generative AI & Data Lab offers a range of services, including expediting customers’ initial data and AI/ML launches to AWS and delivering a personalized approach to scale their competencies and processes for future endeavors on AWS. AWS and Virtusa’s diverse experts provide a comprehensive approach to AI, ML, and cloud-based data. This involves guiding customers through business strategy formulation, creating migration and ML operational roadmaps, optimizing cloud migration, and establishing a modernized platform for continuous data and ML operations. The experts also assist in business rationalization, organizational change management, and address technical readiness concerns through training and data/ML operations management. This support, coupled with an AI/ML Managed Services Offering, simplifies and expedites customers’ AI/ML and Gen AI usage.

The collaboration combines Virtusa’s end-to-end data and AI/ML modernization capabilities with the robust capabilities of AWS services, including Amazon Glue, Amazon CloudFormation, Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon CodeWhisperer. This integration aims to accelerate business modernization, with custom cloud data solutions covering migration, modernization, global cloud strategy, operations, ML modernization, and managed services. The collaboration targets a significant reduction from 36 to 18 months for a swift and efficient transformation.
